Civil War Generations: Millers
Click on Picture to see the Extended Family alive at that time...
Was there Civil War Participation on the part of Miller Relatives?
We can look at the direct line and do some digging:
I will do more census work, as the migration from Ireland would put most McCaffrey relatives outside of this conflict.
Levi Miller would seem be the most likely candidate. During the Civil War, 1861 - 1865, Levi would have been 44 to 48 years old. I have not been able to find any record of his involvement. He was a Devout German Baptist, and would be a non-participant by this creed.
John Zechariah Albaugh would be 55 to 59 years old during the War, and also a devout Baptist.
Isaac Constant (1820 - 1877) would have been 41 to 45 years old during the War. I cannot find any record of participation. Perhaps William Constant, his brother fought; there is some evidence that he was in the 4th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteers.
Please send any info on collateral lines that I could help research!
